Seaspan Shipyards is Canada’s West Coast shipbuilding and ship repair Centre of Excellence, with full-service shipyards in both Vancouver and Victoria that are committed to the highest customer service and safety standards. Seaspan Shipyards is certified to ISO 9001:2008 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (safety).

At Vancouver Shipyards, we have constructed a new, privately funded, state-of-the-art shipyard to support Seaspan’s role as the Government of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) Non-Combat capability provider. We now proudly operate the most modern shipbuilding facility of its kind in North America.

Seaspan’s other North Vancouver-based shipyard – Vancouver Drydock – provides a full spectrum of quality repair services and a proven track record of excellence delivering vessels.

Victoria Shipyards operates one of Canada’s leading ship repair businesses, including a wide-ranging and complex global customer base. In addition, we continue to provide service to the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) as we support the rehabilitation of the Victoria-class submarines through the Victoria In-Service Support Contract (VISSC). Victoria Shipyards and the Government of Canada are preparing to celebrate the successful completion of a multi-year modernization of the Halifax-class frigates (HCM-FELEX) this Spring.

Our workforce of more than 2300 is fully engaged across a diversified marine business including expertise in design, new construction, overhaul, repair, conversions, alterations, life-cycle maintenance and refurbishment of Naval, Coast Guard and commercial vessels.

Currently, we are in full production of the first (of three) Offshore Fisheries Science Vessels.. We are also fully engaged with the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and RCN to support the build of one Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel (OOSV) and two Joint Support Ships.
